Student Talent & Pathways Assessment
Connecting strengths, pathways, and family dialogue through an experience students want to join
Youth Product Case / 10
Reframe admissions anxiety from a score sheet into self-exploration students want to join and a conversation families can share.
The student experience uses a personal-universe metaphor. Twenty questions across talent, personality, learning, and future exploration feed fourteen scoring dimensions, eleven pathways, four personality types, and forty-four prewritten reports.
The native WeChat mini-program core flow is complete and uploaded as an experience build.
Twenty questions, fourteen scoring dimensions, eleven pathways, and four personality types create forty-four report combinations.
Reports include personal, pathway, and parent perspectives.
Public release and the commercial loop still require review and final integration; no minor data is exposed.
Participation Comes Before Insight
Admissions assessment can feel like another score sheet. Characters, cosmic scenes, staged progress, and feedback make complex questions approachable without hiding usage guidance or reference boundaries.
Students first see strengths in their own language before pathway explanations; the parent view translates the same result into support strategies, reducing conflict around what a student should do.
From Scores to Shared Decision Material
Fourteen dimensions remain behind the scenes to match pathway and personality combinations. Recommendations must be considered with grades, local policy, school resources, and professional advice—not as a single answer.
Parent sharing, character posters, consultation entry, and role-specific report views turn a one-off test into an ongoing family conversation.
PROCESS
Key Decisions
Use different language for students and parents
The same data becomes self-exploration for students and support guidance for parents.
Prewrite reports for quality control
Forty-four combinations can be reviewed in advance instead of leaving education guidance entirely to live generation.
Make the result a conversation window
Pathways are clearly advisory; final choices return to real constraints and professional judgment.
Role & Collaboration
I led product structure, question-to-report mapping, dual-audience information architecture, interaction, character-asset integration, and experience-build delivery.
AI supported content organization, combination checks, and engineering; I governed minors' privacy, outcome boundaries, and key product decisions.
Validation, Outcome & Reflection
Source verification confirms twenty questions and all forty-four reports; the experience build can be tested in WeChat.
The experience build, review material, and payment code are not presented as a public production release.
For youth-facing AI products, design for understanding and trust comes before calculation and recommendation.
